Questioner: Is it from the ‘aqeedah of the Ahlus-Sunnah to ascribe Nafs (mind) to Allaah?

Dr Sharof: Yes, the Qur’aan mentioned it. On the Day of Qiyaamah, Nabiyy ‘Eesa (‘alayhi ssalaam) will say to Allaah, ‘…You know what is in my mind, and I do not know what is in Your mind. Verily, it is You who is the Knower of the unseen.’ [Soorah al-Maa’idah (5):116] Allaah ascribed it to himself and there is no other interpretation for ‘Nafs’ other than mind. All perfect praise is for Allaah alone. We beseech His peace and blessings upon Muhammad (sollaLloohu ‘alayhi wa sallam).

The root of all evil is the deviation from the truth and its straight path. Sometimes, people deviate from the truth due to ignorance while some other times, it is simply because of their lack of sincerity. The deviation of Muhammad Aliyy Jabata, a man some of the ‘bedbugs’ following him call ‘’Muhaddith’’, is simply based upon ignorance. His level of ignorance is immeasurable. No one takes knowledge from him except an ignoramus. He has errors in pronunciations, language, and understanding of the Qur’aan and the Prophetic traditions. How on earth can this certified ignoramus be a Muhaddith? Continue reading “HE IS STILL UPON THESE GRAVE ERRORS; WE ASK ALLAAH TO GRANT US SAFETY AND WELL-BEING!”

Question: Are there texts in the Book of Allâh and the Sunnah of His Messenger permitting multiple groups or (justifying the establishment) of Ikhwân (Muslimun Group and their likes)?

Answer: Yes… I say there is neither in the Book nor the Sunnah (such texts) that make it permissible to form Firaq (parties) and Jama’ât (groups) rather there are in the Book and Sunnah what render that to be blameworthy. Allâh said:

“Verily, those who divide their religion and break up into sects (all kinds of religious sects), you (O Muhammad ) have no concern In them In the least. Their affair is only with Allâh, who then will tell them what they used to do.” [Al-An’aam: 159].

Allâh the Mighty also said:

“[But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects,] each group rejoicing in its belief.” [Al-Mu’minun: 53].

There is no doubt these parties (and groups) decry what Allâh has commanded of – what He enjoins on when He said:

“And verily! This your Ummah is one Religion, and I am Your Lord, so keep Your duty to Me.” [Al-Mu’minun: 52].

And some of them (who are in parties and groups) say: It is not possible for the Da’wah to become strengthened except if it is carried out under a party (or group).

We answer: This is not correct, rather the Da’wah of Islâm will gain strength inasmuch a person acts under the Book of Allâh and the Sunnah of His Messengers while he follows what has been handed down from the Prophet and his rightly-guided successors.

O Palestine, When Are You Coming Back?

From the Jumu’ah Sermons of Ash-Shaykh ad-Duktoor Muhammad bn Sa’eed Raslaan
[May Allaah preserve him on goodness]
Translation: Aboo ‘Aamir Al-Atharee
Uploaded: Dhul-Hijjah 02, 1438, (24 Aug., 2017)
To proceed:
In the meeting that took place between the Former Mufti, Muhammad al-Ameen Al-Husayneen [may Allaah be merciful to him], and a number of his fellow countrymen from Palestine; he was asked as it used to be the norm whenever any of his countrymen met him: ‘When are we going back to Palestine?’ he replied: ‘When you return to Allaah, you will return to Palestine.’
So whenever any Muslim from any part of the world asks us today: When is Palestine coming back to us?’ The answer is: ‘When you return to Allaah, Palestine will return to you.’
That answer is derived from the saying of the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu alahyi wa sallam), recorded by Ahmad and Aboo Daawud, that goes thus:
‘Nations will converge against you as eaters converge over a meal.’ They said: ‘Will that be out of our little number that day, O Messenger of Allaah?’ He said: ‘No; you will rather be many that day but your number will be like that of dirt carried by erosion. Indeed Allaah shall remove your awe from the hearts of your enemies, and put ‘wahn’ in your hearts.’ They asked: ‘What is ‘wahn’, O Messenger of Allaah?’ He replied: ‘Love of the world and hatred for death.’ [Graded as Saheeh in Saheeh Jaami (8183)].
So when we turn to Allaah – the Mighty and Most High – Allaah will return to us what had been stolen from us. But if we are far away from our Lord, we shall lose (more of) what is in our hands.
That is what Allaah has decreed in His Book:
وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِنْ شَكَرْتُمْ لأزِيدَنَّكُمْ وَلَئِنْ كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِي لَشَدِيدٌ
“And (remember) when your Lord proclaimed: “If You give thanks (by accepting faith and worshipping none but Allâh), I will give you more (of my blessings), but if you are thankless (i.e. disbelievers), Verily! My punishment is indeed severe.” [Ibrahim 7.]
Allaah made it pain in the Verse that denying Allaah’s favour upon one will make one lose the favour. So when you deny Allaah’s bounty over you such that you do not thank Him, you will lose it…
So when Allaah bestows some bounties over a slave of His, and he wishes that those bounties remain, then let him be thankful to Allaah over those bounties. Anytime he lags in thankfulness to Allaah regarding the bounties, he will be deprived of them. Ignominy and disgrace will be his lot…
When are you coming back to us, O Palestine? When will return to Allaah, Palestine will return to us.
The Prophet (salallaahu alahyi wa sallam) also talked about that in a mighty saying of his when he said weakness will come upon the Ummah, its people will be enveloped by ignominy, whenever they turn away from the Deen of its Lord, and whenever they lax regarding holding to the Sunnah of its Prophet (salallaahu alahyi wa sallam).
‘When you engage in the trade of ‘Eena (doubtful trades), and you follow the tails of cattle about, and you are pleased with farming and you abandon Jihaad, Allaah will allow disgrace to overcome you, He will not remove it from you until you go back to your Deen.’
There is no way to honour, returning to and achieving it except by going back to Allaah the Lord of the worlds…and the Deen brought by [Prophet] Muhammad (salallaahu alahyi wa sallam) as he had directed…
What is happening in Gaza today is not a matter that calls for humanitarian support (only) or a matter that has to do with the human plight in the general sense, not a matter of a foundation that we ask people of good standing and wealth to make donations…rather it is a matter of creed; creeds even. A matter that has to do with a belief from its day-one; with the Deen from its nitty-gritty. Not a matter (that calls for) some Kuffaar preceding the Muslims in expressing sentiments. All these glaring sentiments that have filled the world (for the Palestinians) will bring nothing. They are not the correct means in achieving the goal. The cause is known, that is not hidden from a person with sight…
Thus it is not a matter whereby we ask people to gather clothes, food and items. All these can only cater for what is apparent but will never remove the sickness. That is not the way the Magnificent Sharee’ah solve ailment.
Yes, all those humanitarian aids are necessary and they are welcome but that is not the basis of the matter…we should not forget the basis of the issue and we should not fail to make use of the everlasting cure to the ailment such that we just stand by taking care of the apparent sickness…
The Prophet (salallaahu alahyi wa sallam) had directed us to the foundation of the sickness and placed in our hands the everlasting cure, so we should not in the euphoria of treating the manifestations of the sickness absolutely forget the treatment of the basis…
How can a nation whose foremost poet, Mahmud Darwaish, be victorious when he composed?
‘Go to sleep, Allaah’s Eye is asleep/from us…’
That is the poet in the Struggle. What he said was a lie. Allaah the Lord of the worlds destroyed him.
He also said as reported by Husayn Mirwah: ‘We (the Palestinians) began to study the Principles of Maraksiyyah (a Sufi school) that inflamed sentiments and hope in us, our feelings became strongly attached to the Communist Party that stirred efforts towards defending the rights of the people and the rights of the workers…’
We ask Allaah for forgiveness, we announce our disavowal from atheism and its proponents.
So can a nation whose poet is like this overcome the Jews? Rather it is only a nation that has a poet like Hassaan, a believer in Oneness of Allaah who surrenders all his self to Him – may Allaah be pleased with him – that can overcome the Jews.
The issue of Tawheed is the major issue in the Ummah, the failure in that respect is the foundation of the ailment.
So what you see here and there of some surgeries. Sometimes in Afghanistan, sometimes in Iraq, sometimes in Somalia, and sometimes in the Wounded Palestine, will remain with no solution so far people are bereft of how to take care of the foundation ailment.
Not the tussle over a piece of land or a country that matters. Though if the country is Islamic then it must be loved, loving it then can be said is from the Faith because it is a land of Islam. We should not love it because of itself; no land makes a person holy, only deeds do.
So if people say: ‘The war between us and the Jews is not over belief but over a land usurped from us, and a right pillaged from us, a people that wronged us with respect to our rights’ as said by Shaykh Hasan Al-Banaa – Allah’s mercy on him; people say this words on and on.
The Jews train their children right from the wombs to know that the tussle between them and the Muslims is with respect to belief. If you check their books, you will explain what goes on today better.
Killing a non-Jew by the Jews is an act of closeness to their god. There is a statement from them over that: ‘If you can kill him (a non-Jew) in a place where nobody can see you, then do so, you will attain nearness to Yahweh with his blood.’ ‘Yahweh’ is the oppressor and evil god of the Jews which they got for themselves who can come down to fight people on earth, who can break legs of so-and-so prophets, and there can be a fight between him and the prophets…That is not the Lord of we Muslims that we worship. Our Lord is the Lord of the worlds, the One and Only, the Eternal whom there is none like Him, or a partner…
They fight us over belief but we start up movements whereby the matter is not based on belief; we form alliances with enemies of Allaah to fight other enemies of Allaah! This has no place in the way of Allaah, or in the ‘Aqeedah the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu alahyi wa sallam) left for us…
Correct the Aqeedah!
The meaning is not that we leave the matter as it is while the blood continued to be spilled and homes bombed and lands grabbed. That is not what we mean. We ought to face every matter with hikmah which is the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu alahyi wa sallam) as explained by Imaam Ash-Shaafi’ee… We should not consume one another…we should not place our swords on the necks of our brothers and families…
The call must be made to unifying the efforts of the Ummah…
The foundation of the matter is that you will be victorious over your enemies when you obey your Lord. When you are like them in sins…such that your condition is like theirs, your houses are like theirs, your means of enjoyment are like theirs…if we are like this then when is the victory?
What is known from the basics of this deen is that we must help our Muslims brothers; we must be ready to die doing that.
So also is the fact that a Muslim should not plunge himself into destruction.
So also is the fact a Muslim should refer matters to its rightful custodians.
So also is the fact that a Muslim should not move in tribulations. He should be beneficial to others; he should get himself busy with the Root of the Matter: calling the Ummah out of where it has plunged to the horizon of Tawheed the Light…
So start from where you are supposed to start from. Do not betray what is apparent in matters. Be intelligent, ponder little, have foresight and start as the Messenger started.
Be conscious of the time…
All help is sought from Allaah, upon Him is the trust. Sufficed is He, and what a marvelous sufficiency!
O Allaah, save our brothers in Gaza, the old ones among them whether male or female, their young men and women, their kids property and dwellings.
O Allaah, we beseech You against the Jews.
O Allaah cause Your punishment and anger that don’t escape the unbelievers to descend over them…
O Allaah turn the tide against them.
O Allaah, return the Muslims to the truth in a beautiful way, Possessor of Mightiness and Honour.
O Allaah, join the hearts of the Muslims together, take us all to Yourself. Make our hearts turn to You.
We beseech peace and blessing on our Prophet, Muhammad.

Questioner: Since there are now numerous Jama’aat (groups) and we know that these Jama’aat (groups) are (upon) innovations, can one decide to join the Jamaa’ah (group) of the Ahlus-Sunnati wal Jamaa’ah?

Dr Sharof: Firstly, the Ahlus-Sunnati wal Jamaa’ah are not a group. And you must not establish your Sunnah in the name of partisanship. The Sunnah is the religion because Sunnah is Islaam and Islaam is Sunnah. If you see some people Continue reading “REFRAIN FROM THE PEOPLE OF FALSEHOOD! “
