Questioner: If one has a marriage contract with a young girl who is not yet fit for copulation, and she disagrees with the contract when she becomes matured, what can one do?
Dr Sharof: You do not need to wait till she becomes matured. A person had a marriage contract with a young girl with the permission of her father, if she disagrees with the contract when she becomes matured, what can the person do? Since you agreed to marry her at the age of seven for example, she has to be brought to you when she becomes about ten years of age. What do you expect a ten years old girl to understand regarding this affair? She may view you as a man she lives with, but with time she will later know you as her husband. Na’am! That’s it.
