All perfect praise is for Allaah alone. We beseech His peace and blessings upon Muhammad (sollaLloohu ‘alayhi wa sallam).
As it used to be in the past, and still the same at the moment, the people of innovation used to try, as much as possible, to speak with the speeches and words of the people of knowledge (Ash-Sharee’ah, pg.28), but in reality, they distort the statements of the scholars to suit their whims, and sell them to the unsuspecting common folks. The scholars, past and present, employ many ways when dealing with the shenanigan of these innovators. From them are, giving them (the innovators) evidences from the Qur’aan and sunnah; using the same statements of the scholars and/or books which the innovators use to refute them (that is, expounding them in details, proofing beyond doubt that the innovators are wrong).

There is no denying the fact that the Jabatawees of southwestern Nigerian and it’s environ have been refuted the same way. In fact, their errors have been made known to some of the present ‘ulamaa and they were refuted accordingly to the extent that it is now audible to the deaf and visible to the blind that these “local goats” are basically from the Khowaarij. We gave them evidences from the Qur’aan and sunnah that innovations in the religion are not of the same level. For example, the story of Aboo Israil and the scholars that used it as evidence to differentiate between innovations. For example, Imaam ash-Shaatibee in Al-‘Itisoom, Imaam Al-Turtushi in Al-Bidaul awliyah, Shaykh Soolih al-Fawzaan in Kitaabu ttawheed. We gave them the ahadeeth on wisool and gave a number of scholars that used these ahadeeth to prove that innovations are not of the same level. For example, Ibn Taymiyyah in Iqtidaa as-sirootul mustaqeem li mukhoolafati ashaabil jaheem, Imaam Shaati’bee in al-‘Itisoom, Imaam Ibn Rajab al Hanbali in jaami’ al-‘uloom wal hikaam, Shaykh Haafidh Ibn Ahmad Al Hakami in Ma’arij al-Qabul bi-Sharh Sullam al-wusool. We mentioned the ahadeeth of Marwan and the scholars that used these ahadeeth to establish the fact that innovations are not of the same level (for example, Shaykh Haafidh Ibn Ahmad Al Hakami in Ma’arij al-Qabul bi-Sharh Sullam al-wusool), just to mention a few. Yet, they wouldn’t listen. WHO IS MORE FOOLISH THAN THE ONE WHO ASKS AFTER SEEING THE BRIGHT SMILE OF THE SUN, “ARE WE IN THE DAY OR NIGHT?”?

When all was to no avail, we exposed their distortions of the statements of the scholars, the likes of Shaykh Muhammad Noosiruddeen al-Albaanee, Shaykh Muhammad Soolih al-‘Uthaymeen, Shaykh ‘Abdil’Azeez bn ‘AbdiLlaah bn Baaz, Shaykh Muqbil, Shaykh ‘Abdir-rahmoon as Sa’dee and other than them. Since it would be a kinda disgrace to hold a view which no scholar hold, they attributed the lie to Shaykh Saleem al-Hilaalee. AlhamduliLlaah, they’ve been well exposed with the direct statements of the Shaykh to the extent that some of them are now insulting the Shaykh.

From the scholars that they’re trying to hide behind to say that all innovations are major kufr which take its doer out of the pale of Islaam is Aboo Muhammad al-Hasaan bn ‘Aliyy Ibn Khalaf al-Barbahaareey (rohimohuLlaah). They are used to quoting the 149th point in the Sharhus sunnah of this Imaam to support their erroneous creed. Let’s quickly have a look at what the Imaam said.

Imaam Barbahaareey (rohimohuLlaah said): “Every bid’ah (the like of, Ar-raj’ah, the belief in the return to this world of those who have died) which appears apparently is disbelief in Allaah, the Magnificent. Whoever professes to believe it, is a disbeliever in Allaah and there is no doubt about it. Whoever believes in Ar-raj’ah and says that ‘Aliyy Ibn Abee Toolib is alive and will return before the Day of Resurrection, and says the same regarding Muhammad Ibn ‘Aliyy, Ja’far Ibn Muhammad and Moosa Ibn Ja’far, and talks about the station of the Imaams and that they know the unseen, beware of them! They are disbelievers in Allaah, the Magnificent.”

The statements of Imaam al-Barbahaareey are very clear that he was specific about the bid’ah he was referring to. He based that point on Ar-raj’ah, as evident in every part of the comment. How does this establish the creed of “all innovations are major kufr which take its doer out of the pale of Islaam”? Oh! You’re confused, right? You’re thinking about what they have misunderstood in that point! Isn’t it? This is how they (Jabata and his bedbugs) translate it, “EVERY BID’AH WHICH APPEARS APPARENTLY IS DISBELIEF IN ALLAAH, THE MAGNIFICENT. WHOEVER PROFESSES TO BELIEVE IT, IS A DISBELIEVER IN ALLAAH AND THERE IS NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. They dance around with this statement and say that with it, Imaam al-Barbahaareey holds that all innovations (bid’ah) are kufr which take its doer out of the pale of Islaam. From the responses I have for you here are, one; “WHY WILL YOU CLIP A PART OF THE STATEMENT AND RUNAWAY FOR THE OTHERS?”, two, “WHAT IS THE SUMMARY OF WHAT THE IMAAM EXPLAINED WITH THAT POINT 149?”, three, “WHO IS THE SCHOLAR BEFORE YOU THAT UNDERSTOOD THAT STATEMENT THE SAME WAY YOU DO”, four, “MENTION JUST ONE SCHOLAR FROM THOSE WHO ARE ALIVE TODAY THAT UNDERSTANDS THAT STATEMENT THE SAME WAY YOU DO?”, five; “MENTION JUST ONE HADEETH THAT SAYS THAT ALL INNOVATIONS ARE MAJOR KUFR”, six, “WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY TO IMAAM AL-BARBAHAAREEY ABOUT HIS DIVISION OF BID’AH INTO SMALL ONES (BID’AH MUFASSIQOH) AND BIG ONES (BID’AH MUKAFFIROH)”?, seven, “WHEN WILL YOU GIVE US A BOOK WHEREIN IMAAM AL-BARBAHAAREEY RECANTS HIS DIVISION OF BID’AH INTO SMALLER AND BIGGER ONES?”

Imaam Barbahaareey has cleared your doubts with the statements below, if only you would pray to Allaah for guidance, and make use of your common senses!

Imaam Barbahaareey (rohimohuLlaah) stated: “Beware of SMALL INNOVATIONS because they GROW until they become BIG. This is the case with every innovation introduced in this Ummah. It began as something small, bearing resemblance to the truth, which is why those who entered it were misled and then were unable to leave it. So it GREW and became the religion which they followed and thus deviated from the straight path and left Islaam.”

We understand from the statement above, that Imaam al-Barbahaareey divided innovations into smaller and bigger ones. If you hold the same belief with Imaam Barbahaareey, please mention some SMALL INNOVATIONS and BIG INNOVATIONS in your creed (Jabatawees only). We want to know! We believe, without having an atom of doubt about it, that Jabata and his bedbugs are strange in this Ummah with this belief. That is from the reasons why we hold that they are from the khowaarij.

I beseech Allaah to show us the truth as being the truth and grant us its following, and to show us misguidance as misguidance, and to make it easy for us to abstain from it.
